Service

First Step

Request an estimate

Once you passed all the eligibility requirements request an estimate so we get to know more about your specific case and help you with any questions you have. You will send us over all the diagnosis papers you have (exams, X-rays, MRI, etc). We will send this to our network of vet hospitals to be able to get you an approximate quote.

Get quote and confirm service

A couple of days later we will send you the quote and the full specifications of the service. We will send you a link to complete a few forms. Documents will include a Vet Voyage contract, an intake form and a deposit to secure your appointment.

Once this is all complete, you will be scheduled for an appointment at the airpot of your location, aproximately 5-10 days after paying the deposit. We try our best to accommodate our clients and their pet’s needs with timely vet appointments.

The day before the appointment

The day before your appointment, you will be contacted by one of our Vet Voyage admins with your pick-up time and important information about your vet appointment. We will ask that all pets fast before their appointment and to not be given food or water after 10 pm the previous day to ensure that all blood tests, sedation, or anesthesia can be performed the day of your appointment.

The day of your appointment

On the day of your appointment you will need to bring your pet to the airport with its kennel bag. Your assigned pet courier representative will meet you at the agreed location with all documents for you to sign and will go over the service details and answer any questions you may have. Once they have picked up your pet they will take the next flight back to Mexico City with your pet, placing them under the seat in front.

Once arrived in Mexico City they will transport your pet directly to the vet facility. During the whole process you will receive photo and video updates of your pet, as well as the information from the vet regarding your pet and their procedure.

Paying your invoice

Shortly after your pet is hospitalized you will be contacted from the billing department alerting you to pay the invoice via international wire transfer in Mexican pesos. Vet bills are due upon receipt just like they are in the US.

Post Surgery

Depending on the procedure the pet will need to stay a couple of days hospitalized. Once the pet is discharged from the Hospitals they will be transported to our recovery facility in Mexico City. Depending on the surgical procedure the pet will need to stay with us from 5 to 10 days post surgery. During this time we will follow up on medication, after care and rounds of physiotherapy as needed. We know how important is your pet for you so we will keep you updated every single day with photos and videos.

Reunited again

Once the vet gives the green light for the pet to flight back we will schedule the next available flight to your location and you will be reunited with your loved one. We know it's been a long time but we try take every precaution so you pet can come back safe and sound.
